There are rooms full of the work of Irish artists from the 18th-20th century. They are very fond of the landscape and people of the West Coast of Ireland e.g. Cork, Galway (especially Connemara), Kerry, Donegal, so they especially love the work of Paul Henry. The National Gallery also has many paintings from Renaissance and 17thC/18thC Baroque Italy, Spanish and Dutch art. There are always extra-special exhibitions e.g. 'Impressionist Interiors' in May 2008.
